Kindergarten
In kindergarten we are making an art book.
The front and back covers show a symmetrical design.
On the inside we will be:
- Mixing colors
- Showing the line families
- Talking about shapes: Geometric VS Organic
First Grade
In first grade we are creating a collage of hot air balloons.
Objective:
The students will demonstrate their understanding of distance
through creating three balloons at different sizes.
Second Grade
In second grade we are talking about fonts and typefaces.
Objective: Mrs. Knegendorf
The students will demonstrate their understanding of font designs
by creating their own font.
Third Grade
In third grade we are talking about the beautiful designs of the Kuna Indians. They create detailed designs using fabric, they are called Mola designs.
Objective: The students will demonstrate their understanding of Mola fabric designs by
creating a Mola inspired design on paper.
Fourth Grade
In fourth grade we are going to take inspiration from the tropics by drawing and painting tropical birds.
Objective: The students will demonstrate their understanding of drawing through creating an image of a tropical bird.
Fifth Grade
In fifth grade we learned about the
history of plates and the use of plates as decoration.
Objective: The students will demonstrate their understanding of
painting by creating a decorated plate.
